It’s not really a feast, there will just be 4 of us but I’m attempting to make my grandmother’s famous stuffing for the 1st time so I think that calls for a stronger noun, don’t you?
When scouring my favorite blogs this morning (and Pinterest of course) for the perfect Easter dessert to serve tomorrow, I kept coming across such colorful treats! This is the time of year for Reese’s, M&M’s, and the like to come out with those gorgeous pastel colored candies. Baking with these beauties makes your typical dessert recipes look pretty sensational so I did what any holiday-adoring housewife would do . . . I went with the pastels!
My Reese’s Pieces and M&M Blondie Brownies recipe is derived from this one I saw at Toolbox Teenah. Mmm…yes please! She uses Reese’s pastel eggs in her Blondies. Unfortunately, I happen to live in the middle of nowhere, remember? Our tiny grocer does not carry them. I was able to find the pastel M&M’s (hooray!) and regular Reese’s Pieces though. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I got to spend my morning sorting colors. Fun, huh?
It’s a pastel only club and orange & brown weren’t invited. I have a peanut butter obsessed husband around here somewhere that will probably be able to come up with a solution for the excluded Reese’s Pieces. On to the recipe.
