Moving into a new home often means redecorating. Design styles often don’t transfer well from one home to another. That’s exactly what I’m experiencing right now. I’ve been browsing and pinning and dog-earing ideas for how I’d like to redecorate my new house when the time and money become available and one theme keeps catching my eye. Gold!
I first noticed the lustrous gold trend during the fall 2014 Fashion Week. From Moschino to Mara Hoffman to Saint Laurent to Prada, the gilded era has returned for fall and it is hot. The gilded obsession was prominent on catwalks worldwide but it has also made it’s mark in home decor.
I’ve been looking for that extra panache of metallic for my home and I’ve found it in the Nikki Chu Home Collection. Launching this July 2014 on Wayfair.com, the collection offers affordable luxury lifestyle items. I’ve been a big fan of Wayfair for years and Nikki’s gold home decor items should find a place in my humble abode someday soon. Too fab not to share!
What’s your opinion on the gilded era? Like it or love it?
