All opinions are my own.
We are a Disney family. A love of the magic of Disney has been passed down for four generations! I grew up watching Disney movies and taking vacations to Disney World and now that I get to share Disney Junior with my daughter, Annabelle, the magic is magnified.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’re probably quite familiar with the many Disney princess dresses that my soon-to-be three year old wears, often several in one day. You may even remember the Sofia the First amulet necklace that we made together. Sofia is one of our favorite princesses!
Every Friday, we make chocolate chip pancakes and snuggle up to watch brand new episodes of Sofia the First on the Disney Channel. It’s our FRiYAY ritual! Annabelle wears her amulet necklace, sometimes a Sofia princess costume too, and we giggle and talk as we watch the show.
You can imagine our excitement when we received an invitation to the Disney Junior Princess Party, a live event in Dallas for influencers and their families. The party was in honor of all new episodes of Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor on Fridays this summer.
Everything at the event from the food to the decor to the activities was within the theme of these two popular princesses. You can Disney Junior video if you’d like to see a virtual tour of the party!
Annabelle’s favorite activity at the Disney Junior Princess Party was Sofia the First’s Royal Picnic. Complete with magic pretzel wands, mini cupcakes, and crown cookies, it was a hit with the little girls in attendance.
My favorite part was the Churro Bar, an Elena of Avalor contribution. Anytime I can eat churros dipped in chocolate and caramel, I consider it a win! The kids enjoyed this bar a lot as well. I witnessed one little boy dipping his churro in every single sauce. He had a huge smile on his face!
Additionally, there were several activities for children at the Disney Junior Princess Party, one of which was to color and decorate your own maraca. Annabelle loved this activity. She couldn’t wait to get her hands on the markers, stickers, and decorative tape!
We finished the event with a little dance party and some TV watching. It was Friday, so Elena of Avalor was playing during the entire party! If you haven’t tuned in to watch Elena yet, I highly recommend it. She is a positive role model for girls of all ages!
We had such a wonderful time at the Disney Junior Princess Party! Annabelle’s 3rd birthday is a few weeks away and when we returned home from the event she looked up at me and asked, “Mom, was that my birthday party because it was AWESOME?” It looks like I may be replicating some of these party ideas sooner than I thought.
