There’s nothing sweeter than celebrating first milestones with your firstborn. I got to participate in such a milestone this week when the Dallas weather finally warmed up enough to take Baby Annabelle to the pool for her very first swim. I packed swimsuits, sunscreen, and our SwimWays Baby Spring Float and we headed to the pool for some splishy splashy swim day fun.
I wondered how little Annabelle would react to the large pool but she didn’t appear to be nervous upon getting put into the water. This is probably because she absolutely loves playing in the water during her bath time and the pool may have seemed to be like a giant bathtub to her.
Luckily, I wasn’t nervous either because I had prepared for this experience beforehand by purchasing a SwimWays Baby Spring Float from Toys”R”Us. It’s the best baby float out there, in my opinion, and I knew it’d be the perfect product to introduce Annabelle to the pool and to cultivate a life-long love of swimming.
SwimWays is a company that has been teaching children to swim for over 40 years. Their Swim Steps line of products was created to help children become confident swimmers. I love this because confidence in the water is exactly what I want for my daughter.
Join me and SwimWays in recognizing National Learn to Swim Day on May 16, 2015. The purpose of this annual holiday is to raise awareness about the importance of teaching children to swim.
I believe that a child is never too young to begin learning. At 9 months old, I am already teaching Annabelle to practice water safety and swim instructions in her Baby Spring Float. With summer right around the corner, learning this invaluable life skill is even more essential for fun as well as for safety. Happy Swimming!!
