Hello, I’m so glad you’re here today to check out my Coloring Page Picture Frame Tutorial. I think you’re going to have a lot of fun making this craft! It was inspired by Diet Coke “It’s Mine” campaign. Have you seen the new colorful glass bottles on tv yet? They are darling.
Also, while you’re here, you can find out about the “Selfie Your Way To Primetime TV’s Biggest Award Show” Sweepstakes!
Let’s start this tutorial by gawking over these fabulousDiet Coke “It’s Mine” glass bottles. Coca-Cola, you have truly outdone yourself! We could all use more color in our lives, right? Diet Coke bottles now have millions of new, unique looks but the same great taste. No two glass bottles are the same!
I bought mine from my local Albertsons here in Dallas.
We are a Diet Coke family and these bottles are a keepsake for us. Don’t you love how creative and colorful they are? Gets me in the mood for spring! These bottles are quite inspiring, so much so that they moved me to add a pop of color to my home through coloring.
Coloring Page Picture Frame Tutorial
Adult coloring books are everywhere. They are all the rage right now! Coloring is a relaxing stress reliever. At least that’s coloring does for me.
My daughter and I both color a lot. When she finishes a coloring page, I hang her work on a display in the playroom for all to see. When I color, I usually end up throwing it away or it gets hidden under a pile of magazines. I want to show off my art too! That’s exactly why I came up with this adorable coloring page picture frame idea.
Coloring your own photo frame is the best way to show off your art and create unique home decor for really cheap. Tear out a page from your favorite coloring book and gather your colored pencils, wooden frame, sponge brush, Mod Podge, and scissors because we are about to get our DIY on.
To begin, you will trace the frame onto the coloring page and cut it out. Apply Mod Podge to the back of the cut out and adhere it to the wooden photo frame. Get rid of any bubbles by pressing down and smoothing with your fingers.
Let that dry for 15 to 20 minutes and then start coloring. You can be as detailed with your coloring page picture frame as you desire. I wanted a lot of bright, bold colors so I spent a couple of hours coloring mine. You could also go with a black and white theme or use various shades of only 1 color for a modern look.
Once you are done coloring, apply a coat or two of Mod Podge depending on the finish you are going for. Let it dry and then use an xacto knife or fingernail file to take care of any rough edges.
Isn’t it pretty? Makes me so happy.
Show off a favorite photo in your coloring page picture frame or display a printable like I have.
