Target does it again, y’all. I say this every time I fall in love with an item at Target. This time, however, it’s not an item I’ve fallen head over heels for, it’s the store itself. Style for style, the Target remodel is fleek and a store near you is getting a makeover! Isn’t that music to your ears?
Now, not only does Target have stylish clothes (get a peek this new collection from Who What Wear) but the store has upped it’s style game as well with a brand new look. If you follow my instagram stories, you may have seen a dozen or so videos and photos from a private media tour of the remodeled Target store in Dallas over the weekend. This tour, you guys, rocked my socks!
Here’s what I saw and what you can start getting super excited about.
The most noticeable change, other than fabulous new lighting, is obvious the moment you walk into the store. Home Decor has taken center stage! Yep, you can now shop home items right away upon entering.
Home decorations are on display to inspire you! You will see see an open floor plan with certain items grouped together so you can picture an overall theme in any room. It’s easy to see what’s available and there’s a ton of space to browse. The days of hunting and digging for that perfect item are over. *exhale*
Clothing is also displayed to WOW you! Shop for an entire outfit in one place because shoes, jewelry, and accessories can be found with their coordinating outfit. Brilliant! Even stylish mannequins are present to show off whole outfit ideas! This is going to make clothes shopping so much easier with my toddler in tow. It’s a one stop outfit shop!
Another really great change, in my opinion, is that the style options in Women’s Plus have been elevated. I couldn’t believe the cute, chic color patterns and fabrics I was seeing in Plus! I’m also satisfied that Plus and Maternity are no longer neighbors. This was always confusing to me when I was shopping for maternity wear. Now you can find Maternity next to intimates!
Let’s talk about the Kids’ Room Decor section. It’s displayed similarly to Home Decor except the displays are closer to the ground which is perfect for kids to rummage through to find the items they want in their rooms. This stuff is adorable, y’all. I mean, who doesn’t love Target’s Pillowfort line?
Speaking of amazing lines from Target, you’ve got to click over and browse the new Cloud Island line. These Baby and Toddler products are on point! I felt like I was browsing baby items from Pottery Barn Kids.
Across the way is Cat & Jack, a clothing line for babies and toddlers carrying high quality basics. They’re superb knits without the high price tag. I want to have another baby just so I can shop in these sections more!
Older kids have a fantastic clothing line too. Art Class makes unique play clothes for children who want to dress creatively! The clothes aren’t bunched together and there’s plenty of space for kids to shop. Love it! We will be shopping in this section soon and I’m excited about that.
Since the new term for activewear in my circles is “momwear”, you know my ears perked up when we got to Athleisure. I continue to be so impressed by the workout clothes from Target. The fabrics look and feel expensive by they aren’t. Trust me, you couldn’t tell if I was wearing $30 leggings from Target or $125 leggings from a different store.
The Swimwear section is pretty great as well. I love that I can pick a swim top by my specific cup size! This is a game changer. Plus, I’m thrilled that Target offers some high waisted bottoms. P.S. – I’d love to see Target carry more rash guards for adults next year!
On to Grocery. Three cheers for space, selection, and set up! Grocery has really changed, you guys. I saw a massive redesign in functionality of the produce section, so much so that I felt like I was shopping at a high end grocery store. Additionally, the grab and go section is more welcoming than ever! It has some delicious looking options.
I also noticed a display of local foods, beverages, and craft beers. I enjoy supporting local Dallas companies so you can bet I will be frequently buying these items from Target.
Thank you, Target, for making your stores a bright, spacious, family-friendly place to buy high quality items at affordable prices. Great job! If you’re in the Dallas area, see below for a schedule of remodels for your preferred Target store.
