To be honest, I hesitated about doing a pregnancy shoot with my second baby because I was so in love with my first maternity photos, I wasn’t sure I needed more bump documentation on my wall. I decided to go for it anyway and I invited my lovely little four year old daughter to join me. Best decision ever. Here are some of my favorite mommy and me maternity photos from that shoot.

I cherish these images taken by my sweet friend and go-to photographer, Jennifer Yarbro at the beautiful Arbor Hills Nature Reserve in Plano, TX. The lovely ladies at Blushbar did my makeup. Everything was perfect! Well except for maybe the bugs which I talked about on instagram.
Speaking of instagram, these photos got a lot of love and many of you of messaged me about where I got our outfits.
When purchasing our dresses for the shoot, I knew I didn’t want to spend a lot because the dresses would probably never be worn again. So I went to Amazon and it totally worked out. I ended up spending less than $80 total for both of our dresses combined. I got Annabelle’s dress here. It’s actually a flower girl dress and I loved it. My dress isn’t available anymore but this dress is similar.
I spent a little bit more for the flower crowns because I could see us playing dress up in these crowns for years to come.
If you’re on the fence about getting bump photos taken, I say go for it! If you’ve got a little one already, invite them to be in the pictures as well because a mommy and me maternity photos are just so sweet.
