Sometimes my cooking gets blah. If I’m in a rut, I tend to serve the same 10 meals over and over again. I don’t even realize I’m doing that until it dawns on me one day that there hasn’t been any excitement at dinnertime lately. No excitement? We can’t have that now, can we?
Just like in marriage, sometimes you need to spice things up in the kitchen too. Thankfully, KC Masterpiece® has a unique line of barbecue sauces to help you go bold with your cooking. So it’s in the spirit of spiciness that I bring you today’s recipe for Habanero Honey Drumsticks. They’ve also got a touch of sweet . . . best of both worlds!
One pot, one pan, or one dish recipes tend to be my favorite. We’re all busy and nobody’s got time for unnecessary dishes. Would you believe that my Habanero Honey Drumsticks require only one dish? Isn’t that glorious? All you need is a couple pounds of drumsticks and KC Masterpiece® Fiery Habanero Honey Barbecue Sauce.
This sauce, y’all. It’s real habanero heat, perfectly balanced with sweet honey. I’m a Texas girl so I know my peppers but apparently KC Masterpiece® does as well because this barbecue sauce is perfection. Buyer beware though, it’s not for the weak tongued. It’s thick, gooey, all kinds of fiery. The flavors welcome all types of meat and I’d recommend it for broiling, grilling or slow cooking. Today, we’ll be baking with it and I can’t think of anything better to bake drumsticks in!
Simply coat the drumsticks with a generous amount of KC Masterpiece® barbecue sauce. Then toss until all of the drumsticks are evenly coated. It’s a beautiful sight!
There’s definitely something to the quality of this sauce. You can taste it immediately. Did you know that KC Masterpiece® barbecue sauce was created in Kansas City? They’re BIG on barbecue in that state. It’s still the number one selling sauce there today so it must be the Kansas quality that you taste with each bite!
Once you’ve coated your drumsticks with KC Masterpiece® Fiery Habanero Honey Barbecue Sauce, you’re ready to put them in a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes. Baste them with more bbq sauce as the cook and once they’re ready, you will wonder why you’ve been serving so many mundane meals lately when this recipe is such an yummy and super easy dinner option.
